Justin had a competitive streak. He did not always have to be first, but if something was important to him, he would compete hard to make it happen. Getting his Eagle Scout was such a thing for him. Since he started Scouts, he treated achieving the next rank like a competition with his friends. Always wanting to get that rank before any of them. As for the rank of Eagle Scout, he simply wanted to get it at an age before his dad got his. That meant getting it before he turned 15. Off course, he accomplished this task with a few months to spare.
